Honest feedback on your outfit, out of 10

You post a fit. Real people press, hold and slide to a number. After 48 hours you know what they thought, and nobody else does. Here is every rule, in the order you meet it.

People, not a model48 hours

A photo and a few facts

A post on Vybemo is a photo of what you wore, a caption if you want one, and a few facts: the brand, the kind of piece it is, and the closet it belongs in. The facts are there because the most common reply under any outfit photo is a question about where the shirt is from. Now nobody has to ask.

Brand can be a label, a market or your tailor. A ₹999 shirt from a stall on Hill Road and a designer jacket get the same fields and the same 48 hours. So does a kurta with sneakers. The crowd rates what you put together, and the tag keeps everyone looking at the clothes.

You also choose who sees the fit: everyone, your followers, or women only. On phones that support it you can blur your face before you post. The blur is done on your phone, and the original photo never leaves it.

Then you seal a number nobody sees

Sealed at posting. Shown to no one.

Before the post goes up, you lock in the score you honestly think the fit deserves out of 10. That is the sealed score. It is never shown to raters, followers or anyone else.

It keeps you honest with yourself. You have to decide what you think of the fit before the crowd tells you. If the crowd’s average lands within half a point of what you sealed, you earn 10 points for knowing your own fit.

In a city battle the sealed score does a second job. Raters in the Arena earn the most by landing on it, so the way to score is to look properly and read the fit the way the person who put it together reads it. Being harsh for fun usually lands far away, and far away earns the least.

Press, hold, slide, let go

Rating is one gesture. You press and hold on the photo, a dial appears under your thumb, you slide to a number from 0 to 10 and you let go. We call it the V-dial. Letting go is the commitment.

Until you commit, you cannot see what anyone else thought. No average, no word, no count. People drift towards a number once they have seen it, and then every rating becomes an echo of the first few. With the crowd hidden, every rating is an opinion somebody formed alone.

Looked again and changed your mind? Hold the fit and slide to a new number. The new rating replaces the old one.

The same idea runs the Arena in city battles, where the handle and the city are hidden too.

What the dial says as you slide up
  1. not it
  2. hmm
  3. okay
  4. decent
  5. cute
  6. strong
  7. heat
  8. fire
  9. obsessed
  10. perfect ten

The score is taken at 48 hours

Post on Friday at 7:40 pm and on Sunday at 7:40 pm the average is fixed as your score. Two days is long enough for people in different cities and different routines to see the fit. It is short enough that the result still matters when it arrives.

People can keep rating after that, and the public word can still move. Your score and the points that came with it do not. A fit needs at least 3 ratings to be scored at all.

Good eyes earn points

When a fit is scored, every rater who landed within 1 of the crowd’s average earns 3 points. Reading a fit the way most people read it is the skill.

In the Arena the scale is steeper

In a city battle you are aiming at the sealed score, and what a rating earns depends on how far it landed from it. There are four outcomes.

Sample. Here the poster sealed a 7. Along the bottom is the number a rater slid to. The height of each column is what that rating earns.

Points earned by distance from the sealed score
Your rating landsIt is calledPointsWhat it means
Exactly on itPerfect read20You read the fit the way the person who put it together reads it.
One awayClose read12Close enough that the two of you would agree over chai.
Two awayWarm6You saw some of it. Something in the fit got past you.
Three or more awayOff3You still took part, so you still earn. Look again at what you missed.

Points are a record of accuracy. They have no money value, and they cannot be bought or cashed out.

What you see when it is scored

Two things. Your average out of 10, and how men and women rated the fit differently, once enough people have rated for a split to mean something. The split is often the more interesting part. If women rated the fit a point higher than men did, that is useful to know before the next wedding.

Both are private to you. They sit on your own profile, where only you can see them. A friend looking at the same post sees a word and nothing more.

Sample. Only the poster sees this.

Your average

7.4

Men rated it
7.1
Women rated it
7.8

Everyone else sees heat

One word, in public

The average becomes one of ten words, and the word is all the public gets. Nobody gets publicly ranked a 3.

They are the same ten words the dial shows while you rate. You call a fit “strong” and the crowd answers in the same language. Why scores stay private

  1. 1not it
  2. 2hmm
  3. 3okay
  4. 4decent
  5. 5cute
  6. 6strong
  7. 7heat
  8. 8fire
  9. 9obsessed
  10. 10perfect ten

The crowd’s average is rounded to a word. An average of 7.4 reads as “heat”.

What we deliberately left out

  • Public numbersA public 4 out of 10 follows a person around. A word says enough and stops there.
  • A shopThere is no store, no buy link and no affiliate link. Nobody rates your fit to sell you a jacket.
  • An AI scoreA number that nobody gave means nothing. Every rating here comes from a person.
  • Open DMsA chat opens between people who follow each other. A stranger gets one text only request, and it waits until you reply.

Questions about the rating

How do I get honest feedback on my outfit?

Ask people who have no reason to flatter you and no way to copy each other. On Vybemo every rater commits a number out of 10 before they can see what the crowd thinks, and they earn points for landing near the crowd average, not for being harsh. You get your score after 48 hours.

Is my outfit good? Who decides that on Vybemo?

People using the app, across India. Each one presses and holds your photo, slides to a number and lets go. There is no AI score and no panel of experts. At 48 hours you see the average of everyone who rated the fit.

Can I get my outfit rated out of 10 by real people and not by AI?

Yes, that is the whole idea. Every rating on Vybemo is given by a person. Nothing in the app generates a score for you.

Why can I not see what others rated before I rate?

Because once you see a number, you drift towards it. Vybemo keeps the crowd hidden until you let go of the dial, so your rating is your own opinion of the fit.

What happens if my fit gets a low average?

Only you see the number. Publicly the fit shows a word, and the gentlest word on the ladder is “not it”. There is no public list of low scores and nobody gets publicly ranked a 3.

Can I change a rating after I give it?

Yes. Press and hold the fit again and slide to a new number. Your new rating replaces the old one. It never counts twice.

Are points worth money?

No. Points are a record of how accurately you read fits. They cannot be bought, sold or cashed out, and they have no money value.
