What the weather allows
Cooler than Mumbai and less humid, with a long monsoon and proper chilly mornings in December. Light layers work for more of the year than you would expect.
When the city dresses up
Ganesh Chaturthi is the big one, and the dhol tasha groups have a look of their own. College fest season runs through the winter, and NH7 Weekender made the city a gig town years ago.
Names to know
Pune buys from Mumbai labels and online like everyone else. What it adds is thrift: the city has an active Instagram thrift store scene run largely by students.
